Maths Pattern

Description: In maths Bella and I made a pattern that was made into a castle. We used 6 patterns and used rods to make it with.

Description: In maths I used popsicle sticks to make a pattern and since I had 3 or 4 at the start and had to only and 2 or 3 sticks to carry on the number I worked it out by going (number x 19 or 7)+ 1=.
Then I worked out the x's table and added 1.

Description In maths today I worked in the NZCM6 book and worked on page 175. The task was Farmer joe is making fence sections the question was how could he use this sketch to help him work out how many peices of the wood he needed for 10 sections? My answer was 31.

This is how I worked it out:

E T reo portfolio sample

Description: In E T reo with Elly and Troy every monday, we were making something that we could show we learnt the things at the table in māori and english. To show that we learnt about the māori things at the table we decided to make a kahoot. We had 3 choices that we got to choose from,  there was making a game, learn Aoteroa by Stan Walker or learn all the things on the page of things at the table.

See if you can join the kahoot:

Feedback/Feedforward: I like the way you showed some of the questions and I don't have any feedforward.
-Jayde H

Evaluation: I think I did well showing how I learn't the māori words on the table. I have learn't most of the things on the picture and I have learn't all the fruit.

Awesome Maths

Description: In math we are learning about patterns and Bella and I made non-repetitive and repetitive patterns and we had to figure out if they were non-repetitive or repetitive patterns. We wrote in our books (A), (B), (C), (D) and (E),vand tthe other person had to figure if they were non-repetitive or repetitive patterns.

See if you can see the non-repetitive patterns.

Alphabetical Area portfolio sample

Description: In maths we were seeing how many letters we could make with 6 squares. There was a rubric and on the rubric we tried to get to 4 (Mission completed) Which is were I think I was and there was 1 (help me) 2 (started) 3 (almost there) 4 (mission completed) 5 (beyond the learning).

Evaluation: I think I did well because I had 22 letters done in the alphebet but next time I will try and do more 1/2s and 1/4s and different fractions on the letters.

Feedback/Feedforward: I like how you explained your work through the maths, next time you could show that the letters that made 6 maybe somehow show that.

Sport Start portfolio sample

Description: For Sport Start thi term we have been doing a game called gateways. The rules are you can make up challenges to make it harder and you have to throw what ever object is in the gateway that you are in 5 times and run to another gateway and do he same thing.

Feedback/Feedforward: I think that this video is really good and shows alot what we are doing. But I think you dont need to chuck the hoop as much just a throw:) But i think over all its really good. -Katie O

Evaluation: I agree with Katie and maybe we could work on that a bit and I think we did well otherwise.
